S.Raghuraman had secured his B.E Degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, on April 2000 and after his graduation he worked in the switchyard maintenance at Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd, Neyveli for one year. He joined as a Lecturer in the Velammal Engineering College on June 2001. While in the teaching service, he updated his technical knowledge and obtained a Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in the year 2007. Currently he is pursuing his research at SRM University. He has taught many subjects like Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electron Devices, Electrical machines and drives, Electrical Machines-I and II, High Voltage Engineering, Measurements and Instrumentation, Bio-medical instrumentation, Computer Networks Engineering, Power System Analysis, Advanced Power System Protection, High Voltage DC Transmission, Restructured Power Systems, Professional Ethics in Engineering, Principles of Management for EEE and ECE students. He has presented many papers in National conferences conducted by various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. He has organised many conferences also.
