Prof. J. Kannan is a Graduate and Post GraduateEngineer of the Annamalai University. He had put up nearly 40 years of servicein teaching and guiding students in projects and theses. He had associated withvarious universities in the capacity of Examiner, Chairman of Committees andAcademic Bodies.
Books on the subjects Solid mechanics and Structural Analysisare the outcome of his deep knowledge and his long thirst in these areas.
Dr. K. Suguna is a Professor in the Department ofStructural Engineering in Annamalai University. She obtained her B.E., M.E. andPh.D. degrees from the same University. She has a total teaching experience of20 years. Under her guidance, 3 research scholars have completed their doctoralstudies and 5 research scholars are pursuing their doctoral studies. She hascompleted 5 R & D projects sponsored by the University Grants Commission,New Delhi, the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and theTamilnadu State Council For Science and Technology, Tamilnadu. She has provedher mettle as an academic intellect and her inherent acumen in her subject bybagging several awards at all India level and State of Tamilnadu level, bypresentation of conference papers, bestposter presentation. Besides these, she has also been awarded Best YoungTeacher Award and the Women Engineer Award. Her field ofinterest are fibre reinforced polymer and concrete composites, forensicengineering and stability of structures.
Dr. P. N. Raghunath is a Professor in the Department ofStructural Engineering in Annamalai University. He obtained his B.E., M.E., andP.D. degrees from Annamalai University. He has a total teaching experience of28 years. Under his guidance, 5 research scholars have completed their doctoralstudies and 9 research scholars are pursuing their doctoral studies. He hascompleted 4 R & D projects sponsored by the University Grants Commission,New Delhi, the All India Council For Technical Education, New Delhi and theTamilnadu State Council For Science and Technology, Tamilnadu. He has 36 publicationsin International & National journals and 50 publications in International& National conference proceedings. In addition to these, has attended onmany international seminars and national conferences. Needless to say bevirture of his high academic qualifications, he is an automatic choice formembership in several elite professional institutions. He has delivered severalinvited lectures and recipient of several high ranking awards. Notable tomention is that he has been awarded a Distinguished Teacher award by his ownalma mater. His research interests spread to fibre reinforced polymer andconcrete composites, forensic engineering and building technology.
