Dr. K.K. Ramalingamgraduated in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University, obtained Masterdegree in I.C engines from University of Madras and Doctorate from IndianInstitute of Technology, Chennai. His field of specialization is InternalCombustion Engines. He started his teaching career as Technical Teacher Traineeand retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering,Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He had aboutthirty-five years of experience in teaching graduate and postgraduate classesand guided research projects in IC Engines. He has published about thirty-fivepapers. He had shop-floor training in Automobile Industries like Ashok Leyland,India Pistons, Enfield India, Simpson & Co., and Standard Motor Productsand floor experience in a thermal power station. He has also published a booktitled Handbook of Mechanical Engineering Terms.
